Who we are
Aretsi Event Catering Limited ("Aretsi", "we", "us") is the data controller for personal information collected through this website and our bookings. Registered in England and Wales, company number 09327004. Address: Unit 7, All Saints Industrial Estate, All Saints Street, Hockley, Birmingham B18 7RJ. Email: [email protected]. What we collect
- Contact details you give us: name, email address, telephone number.
- Event details: date, venue, guest numbers, budget and notes about your event.
- Dietary and allergen information about your guests, which may include health information. We use this only to plan safe food for your event.
- Booking and payment records, such as invoices and deposit payments.
- If you accept analytics cookies: anonymous information about how you use this website.
How we use it and our lawful basis
- To reply to enquiries and prepare quotes: steps you ask us to take before a contract.
- To deliver your booked event: performance of our contract with you.
- Allergen and dietary information: to protect your guests' health, with your explicit consent.
- Invoices and accounting records: our legal obligations.
- Website analytics: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Occasional news or offers: only if you have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We share it only where needed to deliver your event, for example with venue staff about access or allergens, with our payment providers (bank transfer or PayPal), with our IT and email providers, and with our accountant. Our regular providers are Google (business email), Krystal Hosting Ltd (website hosting in the UK), Cloudflare (website security and delivery) and, if you choose to message us there, WhatsApp.
Website forms
When you send an enquiry, menu request, offers request or allergen form, the details you type are emailed straight to our team at [email protected]. They are not stored on this website. To block spam, our website briefly checks each submission (for example, how quickly it was sent and how many messages come from the same connection) and keeps a short-lived, anonymised record of this for up to one hour.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become bookings: 12 months. Booking, invoice and accounting records: 6 years, as required for tax purposes. Allergen information: until 3 months after your event. Marketing permissions: until you unsubscribe.
Cookies
We remember your cookie choice in your browser. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) are set only if you press "Accept". Our YouTube video (privacy-enhanced mode) and Instagram film load only when you press play, and those services then apply their own cookies and privacy policies. You can change your choice at any time using "Cookie settings" at the foot of our homepage.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, object to or restrict how we use it, ask us to transfer it, and withdraw consent at any time. Email [email protected] and we will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
